BPC UK sows wildflower seeds in the woodland next to our factory

Friday June 10, 2022

Wildflowers aren’t just beautiful to look at, they play an important role in our ecosystems. They attract beneficial insects which feed on the wildflowers and make their homes in them. Rachel Emmett, Director at BPC UK said, “There’s lots of farms located around Midge Hall on the outskirts of Leyland where we are based. Insects help to fertilise crops and also provide food for other wildlife. Wildflower meadows provide a choice of flowers for bees and insects to forage on and it has been widely publicised that our wild bees are declining and need of help. That’s why we decided to sow wildflowers seeds in the wooded area behind our factory.”
